Autism Awareness

If you have a minute, please check out this video. It was done by a band called "Five for Fighting", which is donating $.49 cents to Autism Speaks each time the video is viewed. The funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure.

Be warned: I found myself crying through the whole thing! It is very powerful.

It's a very personal issue for me, as Greg's uncle, and a nephew has been diagnosed with autism. Another nephew is on the spectrum. It's very scary to me, something I think about often while pregnant.

Oh, Julie, I'm glad that you warned us before watching, sitting here wiping my eyes, what a powerful video. What a beautiful little girl she is, and how devistating for her that she has to wait two years for treatment. This is such a good cause, I hope they raise a ton of money. I'm going to do a link to your blog from mine, if that's okay? Thank you for bringing this terrible disease to everyone's attention. Every little bit helps, and the more people become aware, hopefully it will bring about changes in the insurance industry. Take care!
