So...while giving Mara a BIG bear hug, my zipper causes a nasty cut right below her eye.
I guess this is truly one of those times where love really does hurt

Don't you hate it when stuff like that happens, makes you feel like total crap even though it was a complete accident. There's been a couple of times where my ring has scratched the kids, at the point now where I've stopped wearing them until David's a bit older and out of diapers (always seems to happen when I'm changing his bum). I'm sure Mara was a trooper and didn't hold it against you!
what a sad face, but more heart-wrenching for you. Yes, children are so forgiving. Now, Just forgive yourself.
yes, I felt horrible. I tried to comfort her but she wouldn't come near me until I took my sweater off :)
Lisa-I don't wear my rings either..I don't know how many times i have scratched Analese with them.
Of course, now every time you mention it she does a fake cry and puts her head down...it seems she is picking up some acting tips from her sister :)
Look at that face! Boy, you're going to have a hard time living this one down...forgive yourself, and don't look at the picture:)
Oh, poor girl. and mama. I scratch the kids all the time with my humoungous (HAHAHA) rock. The worst is when we pinch them with the carseat buckles!!! It makes me cringe just thinking of it.
No more zips for mama!!!
Aww, poor baby! Her face says it all! I, too have scratched all my kids with my humongous rock (: You are not alone in inflicting pain on your child-not that makes you feel any better!
