The day after....

Such joy.

I don't think it matters who you voted for...you have to admit, last night was magical. Such a great moment in history. I found myself so emotional yesterday, watching the long lines and such hopeful faces.

And today?

I haven't stopped smiling.

We still have a long way to go, but I feel like we've taken a step in the right direction.

I could still burst with happy tears everytime I think about it. It's a new day! Last night was AMAZING watching history happen. Did you bring the kids to vote?

yes, we brought them. Everyone kept giving us the "boy, do you have your hands full" look :) We only had to wait about 30-49 minutes, so not too bad! I actually wanted to take our camera and take photos of us standing in line...just so the girls can look back and know they were there, that sort of thing. But I think Greg would of killed me :)
I tried to explain to Analese about what we were doing, why, etc. When Greg got home, she ran to him and said "we are getting a new present-for ALL of us!" It took us awhile to realize she meant President :)
Anyway, I could go on and on about it..but no time! I was up until 2 watching it all, so wonderful!

I thought last night was amazing, too. You just can't help but get wrapped up in the excitement and hope for the future. It will be a long road and I pray for Obama and his family. Tough times are ahead. But, man, I am proud of us Americans! 90% turnout??!! That is AWESOME!!
