Later she said, very seriously, "Daddy, you CAN'T hit the bus". I refused to talk about it on the way to the car, because I didn't want the girls freaking out as much as we were, and every time Greg said something I stopped him and reminded him about the girls. He called 911 while the girls and I were in the van.
It was so odd. The bus was actually stopped across the street when we first began walking, so it wasn't like we saw him coming down the street or had any time to react. That is the scariest thing for me-there was nothing we could do to prevent it. The driver saw us-I am sure, as he honked his horn AS he sped away. He didn't pull off slowly-he would have hit them as he was accelerating. As fast as he was going...it would have been my worst nightmare.
It's so hard to think about.....Julie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10756027352301963565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6034623352547209992.post-77777247187048719622007-10-08T12:15:00.000-04:002007-10-08T12:15:00.000-04:00My goodness, my biggest fear--thank God everything...My goodness, my biggest fear--thank God everything turned out okay.
