So I have been tagged....

Being new at this blogging stuff, I wasn't quite sure what being tagged meant exactly. But being the great researcher that I am (hey-can that be one of the seven?) I found the specifics.

Here are the rules:Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here are my seven:

  • Today we were late for Analese's speech session because I let the girls watch two turkey vultures having a seat on our roof. The looks on their faces were priceless, watching these enormous birds shaking their wings to keep warm. It gave Analese something to tell her therapist! So random fact number one: I will always choose nature over timeliness any day.
  • I am very passionate about helping the weak, whether its families, children or animals. When we lived in the city, I used to feed all of the homeless cats living around us (yes, "crazy cat lady" was me). I even went as far as to set up a box for an old tomcat that never left our porch-rain or shine. When he got sick, I will admit to crying like a baby when we had to put him to sleep. And my new obsession now? Saving our little fish babies from being eaten by their parents. I set up barriers of java moss and check on them often...I need help.
  • I have a hard time hiding my emotions, especially things I do not approve of. When I worked with families and they said or did things that upset me, I used to pinch my own arm to keep myself in check until it was my turn to talk (the last thing you want to do when someone starts to trust you with their problems is look completely shocked or disgusted when they tell you!) I do not know when this habit started...yes, kind of odd.
  • I am always cold. No matter the season.
  • I am happier today then I have ever been in my life.
  • I have either been pregnant or breastfeeding for the past 4 years. Wow.
  • I have the worst gag reflex. Just hearing Greg brush his tongue makes me gag. I could even be in the next room, and I still gag.
So there's my seven! Not very original I'm afraid, but then neither am I!

So, now I get to tag some people! I tag:

Lorrie
Danielle
Jen
Lisa

Participate if you want!

Me, too, on the gag reflex! And, wasn't that a thrill when you were pregnant?

I remember when I was preganat that I would have the same problem with the gagging! Brent would brush his teeth and I would have to walk out of the house so I didn't hear it! So bad! I am sorry to hear this is a normal thing for you...not fun at all.

yes-pregnancy is the worst! Brushing my own teeth was a challenge :)
I throw up at anything-especially when smells are combined-if that makes any sense. Greg is destined to have the job of cleaning out the leftovers in the fridge forever! I can't handle it :)

hey thanks for tagging me! i posted my weird things here:

http://mamasmagic.blogspot.com/2007/08/weirdo.html

when i was tagged that time, it was for 6 things. i hear ya on the crazy cat lady thing. that could so easily be me. i could also add that i've been pregnant or nursing for the last 3 1/2 years. not quite as long as you, but it's amazing to realize it's been that long!!!

Peace is every step said...

Hey Jules-thanks for the tag--it was fun to have an assignment.

I'm finding that I have a ton in common with my big sister. Maybe we are the same person. Really.

Except the gag thing--I could clean up an adult poopy diaper and eat a sandwich at the same time without a hitch.

And yes, I've got 5 years of breastfeeding under my nursing bra-wow! I guess I never counted it up before. I think I'll be nursing Nevie forever.

thanks guys for participating! I love reading them :) and seeing how much in common I have with everyone! No wonder I love your blogs :)

I forgot to add that when I am home, I sing everything to the girls. Can I sing? Nope. But I do. Analese now sings back and we have singing conversations :) We also have songs for everything, and my favorite is the "Patience Song" which the girls sing when they are waiting for something...its the cutest thing. Mara even has the rhythm down :)

Kaylyn-thanks! I was hoping to get some projects down myself but I am going to be swamped with schoolwork until the 8th and its freaking me out :) I'll email you the specifics!

Have read all the "tagged" lists, and surprised how much we all have in common. Couldn't figure how to link them to you. Could have added a ton more to my list...esp. the queazy stomach of prego, but like Danielle, can clean up almost anything without losing it. But the toenail is way too much...triple gag!

Hi, Julie!

Thanks so much for making a list, I thought it was really great! I am an animal lover, too and have rescued dogs, a kitten and two baby squirrels who fell from a nest, so I hear you! I am also always cold, even in the summertime because my husband turns the air conditioning down too low! :) Isn't it funny how people are more alike than they are different? Thanks also for the anniversary wishes, that was nice of you! Take care!
